Email marketing

About Tamara Gielen

Hi and welcome to my blog!

Tamara  My name is Tamara Gielen and I am EXTREMELY passionate about email marketing. Yeah, I’m one of those!

I am based in a tiny little country called Belgium and I currently manage over a dozen email marketing programs, both for myself and for my clients. And I’ve been doing this successfully for almost 10 years.

As an independent email marketing consultant & coach I help my customers harness the power of email marketing, blogging & social media to attract customers, establish thought leadership, nurture relationships and increase sales. Wow, that sure is a mouthful! 🙂

Basically it means that I get paid to do something I’m very passionate about. Isn’t that cool? I sure think it is!

Before becoming an independent consultant, I managed email marketing campaigns at Cognos and eBay and did some consulting work as Director, Email & Digital Dialogue strategies at OgilvyOne Worldwide.

You can often find me speaking about email marketing best practices at international conferences.

This blog serves as my own personal archive of email marketing articles and resources that I read and want to keep for future reference. I read practically every article that is published about email marketing and summarize and post the ones that I found especially interesting on this blog.

So this blog is basically an “I read so you don’t have to” kind of service to you. If you don’t have time to wade through the hundreds of articles that are published about email marketing all over the internet each week, then you’ve come to the right place. I’ll select the finest nuggets of information and present them to you through this blog.

You see, I love sharing my passion for email marketing with the world. That’s why I started this blog back in 2005 (wow, has it really been THAT long?) and founded the Email Marketer’s Club in 2007.
